Bring roughly five or more years of software engineering experience, hands-on LLM or agentic systems work, and willingness to travel up to 25%.","## About Cinchapi\n\nCinchapi is where business runs itself. Our operational AI platform powers Ambient Agents that own ongoing outcomes, guided by your high-level goals and KPIs.\n\nInstead of directing AI task by task, you define what success looks like. Ambient Agents figure out how to achieve and sustain it by working continuously in the background to plan, act, orchestrate workflows, and adapt as conditions change.\n\nFor enterprises and small businesses alike, Cinchapi turns fragmented data and AI into operations that run autonomously.\n\nWe’re an Atlanta-based, founder-led company at an inflection point: the product is live, the AI market is exploding, and we’re ready to build a repeatable revenue engine. That’s where you come in.\n\n## The role\n\nWe’re hiring a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer to help our first customers put Cinchapi to work in their businesses. You’ll work directly with the founder, engineering team, and go-to-market lead, taking customer deployments from the first technical conversation through production and ongoing improvement.\n\nThe work starts with understanding how a business operates: what people are trying to accomplish, where work gets stuck, and which systems and data they depend on. From there, you’ll design and build a solution on the Cinchapi platform, connecting systems, developing agent capabilities, and making sure the deployment delivers the results we agreed on with the customer.\n\nOur initial focus is mid-market companies, with select enterprise design partners where there’s a strong fit. You might work directly with an operations leader on one engagement and navigate an IT team’s security and integration requirements on another. You’ll need to be comfortable with both.\n\nThis is a hands-on engineering role, not a position where you write recommendations and hand implementation to someone else. You’ll write production code, troubleshoot real systems, and stay involved after launch. As our first FDE, you’ll also help us figure out how to make deployments more consistent and less dependent on custom work as we grow.\n\n## What you’ll do\n\n- Work with customers to understand their operations, identify a useful starting point, and agree on what success looks like. You’ll turn a broad business goal into a practical scope, with clear requirements and measurable outcomes.\n\n- Build the integrations, data connections, agent capabilities, and interfaces needed to make a deployment work. You’ll use the Cinchapi platform wherever it fits and write the code needed to connect it to the customer’s environment.\n\n- Configure Ambient Agents around the customer’s goals and KPIs, giving them the context, tools, permissions, and boundaries they need to operate effectively over time.\n\n- Establish how we test and monitor each deployment. You’ll evaluate agent behavior, handle failure cases, and decide where human review or approval is needed, taking reliability, security, privacy, and operating costs into account.\n\n- Take promising prototypes into production. That includes resolving integration issues, managing technical scope, documenting how the system works, and making sure someone can diagnose and recover from problems after launch.\n\n- Partner with the go-to-market lead on technical discovery, demos, and pilot design. They’ll own the commercial process; you’ll help determine what we can deliver, what it will take, and how we’ll demonstrate its value.\n\n- Help customer teams understand and use what you build. You’ll lead practical training, answer questions honestly, and make sure customers know how to oversee their agents and when to step in.\n\n- Bring recurring needs and deployment lessons back to the engineering team. When an integration or capability would help multiple customers, you’ll help turn it into something reusable rather than rebuilding it for every engagement.\n\n- Develop the implementation practices, documentation, and tools that future FDEs will use. As the team grows, you’ll help hire and mentor the people who join you.\n\n## What success looks like\n\n**In your first 90 days,** you’ll develop a working command of the platform and lead an initial customer deployment from discovery into production. You’ll establish success metrics and reliability checks, while documenting the gaps and lessons we should address before the next deployment.\n\n**By six months,** you’ll have evidence of customer value from live deployments and a clearer understanding of which use cases we can deliver reliably. Useful integrations and implementation patterns should be reusable, and customer feedback should be informing product improvements.\n\n**By the end of the first year,** we should have a repeatable approach to technical delivery, customers who can point to measurable improvements in their operations, and a foundation that allows additional FDEs to become productive without starting from scratch.\n\nWe’ll judge the work by how well it serves customers over time, not just how quickly we can launch a pilot.\n\n## Who you are\n\nYou have roughly five or more years of software engineering experience and have taken systems from an incomplete set of requirements into production. You’re a strong generalist who can work across backend services, APIs, and data, with enough frontend experience to build a usable interface when needed. We care more about what you’ve built and owned than how many years you’ve spent with a particular framework.\n\nWe’re especially interested in how you work:\n\n- You’ve built with LLMs or agentic systems beyond a basic demo. You can explain how you tested their behavior, what failed, and how you decided they were ready for real users.\n\n- You’re comfortable working directly with customers. You ask good questions, listen to how people actually do their jobs, and can explain technical decisions to both an engineer and a business owner.\n\n- You have a solid grasp of data modeling, querying, APIs, authentication, and integrations. You can debug a problem that spans several systems, including ones you didn’t build.\n\n- You can take an ambiguous goal and propose a sensible path forward. You know when to reuse an existing capability, when custom code is justified, and when a request needs to be narrowed or reconsidered.\n\n- You’re honest about what AI can and cannot do. You’re willing to explain a limitation, raise a concern, or recommend human oversight rather than make a promise the system can’t keep.\n\n- You can manage competing priorities across customer engagements without losing track of commitments. You communicate risks early and stay accountable when something goes wrong.\n\n- You’re based in Atlanta or willing to relocate, and you can travel up to 25% for customer work and events.\n\nPrevious experience in forward deployed engineering, an early-stage engineering team, or hands-on technical consulting would be especially useful. So would experience navigating enterprise deployment requirements, teaching non-technical teams, or turning customer-specific work into a reusable product.\n\n## Compensation and benefits\n\n- **Base salary:** $150,000–$180,000, depending on experience.\n- **Equity:** 0.75%–1% in stock options, vesting over four years with a one-year cliff.\n- **Benefits:** Health reimbursement and flexible PTO.\n\nThis is a full-time engineering role with meaningful ownership in the company. As our founding FDE, you’ll help shape both how we deliver for customers and how the team grows.\n\n## Why this role\n\nYou’ll get to build software and work directly with the people who depend on it. You’ll see where the product helps, where it falls short, and have a direct hand in improving it.\n\nBecause you’re joining early, you’ll also shape how Cinchapi works with customers and how the forward deployed engineering team grows. If you like understanding a business problem, building the solution, and staying close enough to see whether it actually worked, this role gives you responsibility for all three.\n","2026-09-14T15:15:04.057+00:00",null,"https://cinchapply.com/jobs/founding-forward-deployed-engineer/apply",{"title":24,"slug":25,"department":26,"location":8,"employment_type":9,"remote_policy":10,"comp_min":27,"comp_max":28,"currency":13,"equity_min":14,"equity_max":15,"has_commission":17,"has_bonus":16,"summary":29,"description_md":30,"posted_at":31,"deadline_at":21,"apply_url":32},"Founding Go-to-Market Lead","founding-gtm-lead","Business Development",90000,110000,"Bring our operational AI platform to its first customers. That’s where you come in.\n\n## The role\n\nWe’re looking for a Founding Go-to-Market Lead to find our first customers and build a repeatable way to reach, win, and grow them. As our first commercial hire, you’ll work directly with the CEO and have substantial say in where we focus, how we position the product, and how we sell it. You’ll also do the selling yourself, from the first conversation through the signed agreement.\n\nWe’re starting with mid-market companies: businesses whose operations span multiple systems, but where we can still work directly with decision-makers and move quickly. You’ll decide which industries and use cases to focus on first. We’ll also pursue enterprise design partners through targeted outreach and warm introductions where there’s a strong fit. Small businesses are a later opportunity, primarily through partners and self-serve, and you’ll help determine when and how we pursue them.\n\nYou’ll have the CEO’s support on product questions, technical demos, pricing, and deals where involving the founder makes a difference, along with introductions from the founder’s network. We’re looking to you to turn that support into a focused commercial strategy and carry it through the day-to-day work of winning customers.\n\n## What you’ll do\n\n- Develop a clear picture of our ideal customer, choose the industries we should pursue first, and work with the CEO to test pricing and packaging. As you learn what buyers need and what they’ll pay for, you’ll adjust our approach.\n\n- Build and run outbound prospecting across email, LinkedIn, phone, events, and warm introductions. You’ll be responsible for both deciding whom to contact and doing the consistent follow-up that turns an introduction into a real opportunity.\n\n- Develop and lead practical AI and agent-building workshops with industry associations, chambers of commerce, and business groups. These should help attendees understand what’s possible while giving us a way to meet prospective customers and identify where we can help.\n\n- Manage the full sales process, including discovery, demos, pilots, proposals, negotiation, and closing. You’ll keep opportunities moving and make sure prospective customers understand what we’re proposing and why it matters to their business.\n\n- Build relationships with managed service providers, consultants, agencies, and fractional executives who can introduce Cinchapi to their clients or resell our platform and services.\n\n- Put the basics in place for a growing commercial team: a useful CRM, prospecting tools, sales materials, demo scripts, and reporting that helps us understand what’s working.\n\n- Share what you’re hearing from customers with the CEO and engineering team so that real buying decisions and deployment needs inform our positioning, pricing, and product roadmap.\n\n- Help decide when we’re ready to add to the go-to-market team, which roles we need next, and how to bring those people on successfully. As the team grows, you’ll lead the hires you help make.\n\nThese are our starting points, not a fixed set of instructions. We want someone who brings ideas, tests them thoughtfully, and follows through on what works.\n\n## What success looks like\n\n**In your first 90 days,** you’ll have identified our initial customer profile and priority industries, started consistent outbound prospecting, and delivered the first workshops. We should be building a qualified pipeline, with initial pilots underway.\n\n**By six months,** you’ll have signed the first paying customers and design partners. We should have a clearer understanding of why customers buy, along with messaging, pricing, and demos that reflect what we’ve learned in actual sales conversations.\n\n**By the end of the first year,** we should have a growing base of mid-market customers, including customers willing to serve as references, and a documented sales process we can repeat. Partnerships should be generating referrals, and the pipeline should support bringing on additional go-to-market hires for you to lead.\n\n## Who you are\n\nYou’ve spent roughly 5–10 years in B2B sales, business development, or go-to-market roles, ideally selling SaaS, data, AI, or other technical products. You’ve personally managed deals from initial outreach through closing, and you’ve helped a product win its first customers, whether as an early sales hire or a founder.\n\nWe’re especially interested in how you work:\n\n- You’ve built pipeline without an established stream of inbound leads. You can explain where your customers came from, what it took to reach them, and what you changed when an approach wasn’t working.\n\n- You’re comfortable moving between strategy and execution. Choosing a promising industry matters to you, but so does working through a prospect list and following up every week.\n\n- You can lead a room, whether you’re teaching business owners about AI or presenting to an enterprise buying team. You listen carefully, answer questions directly, and can make an unfamiliar product understandable without overselling it.\n\n- You’re technical enough to learn the platform, give a credible demo, and discuss agents and workflows with both operations and IT leaders. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you do need to understand what you’re selling.\n\n- You’re comfortable setting priorities without a detailed playbook and staying persistent when deals take longer than expected. The combination of ownership, uncapped commission, and equity appeals to you.\n\n- You’re based in Atlanta or willing to relocate, and you can travel locally for prospecting, workshops, and events.\n\n## Compensation and benefits\n\n- **Base salary:** $90,000–$110,000, depending on experience.\n\n- **Commission:** On-target earnings of $150,000–$180,000, with uncapped commission on closed software and services revenue and accelerators above quota. During ramp, we also offer pipeline-building bonuses and a non-recoverable commission draw while you build your initial pipeline.\n\n- **Equity:** 0.75%–1% in stock options, vesting over four years with a one-year cliff.\n\n- **Benefits:** Health reimbursement and flexible PTO.\n\n## Why this role\n\nThis is an opportunity to build the commercial side of a company while the important decisions are still open. You’ll work directly with the founder, influence the product through what you learn from customers, and help build the team as the business grows.\n\nThere’s no established sales process to step into, so you’ll need to be comfortable figuring things out and doing the work yourself. In return, you’ll have meaningful ownership of both the approach and the results, with compensation and equity that let you share in what you build.","2026-09-14T14:18:05.423+00:00","https://cinchapply.com/jobs/founding-gtm-lead/apply",1789408224053]
